After                                          moving
                                  to a new city, Holly,                a young woman, found
                             a job in one of the oldest        cinema  : The Paradise. It
                           is squashed into the ground    floor of a block of flats. She
                           doesn’t have great tasks to     do, such as cleaning toilets or
                             sweeping popcorn. She is           ignored by the other staff
                              members. But during the              late movie nights
                                    organized  by her                        colleagues, she
                             finally gains their trust. Gradually, she discovers many secrets
                             and learns more about the unusual history of this place. Holly
                             quickly becomes close to Paolo, a young Italian who works
                             with her. But between the stories of sex and drugs, the cinema
                             is going through a bad patch. “Cinema is dying anyway” and
                             employees are underpaid. Many tragedies arise leaving a few
                             survivors alone and creating tensions. The team is forced to
                                                       divide since some decide
                                                       to leave The Paradise. In
                                                       the end, the sadness is
                                                           deep   because   the
                                                          fall             of         cinema
                                                         is                                 inevitable.
